This is, quite literally, our collective duty.

Kare 11 local news just read, in full, this statement from Michael and Susan Pretti, the parents of Alex Pretti.

"Please get the truth out about our son."
Statement from Michael and Susan Pretti Parents of Alex Jeffrey Pretti “We are heartbroken but also very angry. Alex was a kindhearted soul who cared deeply for his family and friends and also the American veterans whom he cared for as an ICU nurse at the Minneapolis VA hospital. Alex wanted to make a difference in this world. Unfortunately, he will not be with us to see his impact. I do not throw around the ‘hero’ term lightly. However, his last thought and act was to protect a woman. The sickening lies told about our son by the administration are reprehensible and disgusting. Alex is clearly not holding a gun when attacked by Trump’s murdering and cowardly ICE thugs. He had his phone in his right hand and his empty left hand is raised above his head while trying to protect the woman ICE just pushed down, all while being pepper sprayed. Please get the truth out about our son. He was a good man. Thank you.

Guillermo del Toro: "I've taken some liberties in adapting the Mary Shelly novel, I hope everyone understands."

Ishiro Honda: "Frankenstein the deathless will fight a burrowing dinosaur with a glowing horn and radiation breath, signifying mankind will never understand the monsters we create."
Frankenstein or Frankenstein's monster or the creature, whichever pleases you, standing taller than trees as he fights Baragon, a Godzilla sized monster with big ears and a large horn on its snout and ridges running down its back in the 1965 movie Frankenstein Conquers the World

Josh Brolin in the Criterion closet, holding a standard definition DVD of Godzilla vs Megaguirus (2000). The caption reads, “It’s movies like this that made me want to be involved in the movie industry.” Please ignore that Josh Brolin was in movies long before the year 2000, that’s a simple continuity error

HA as if Jet Jaguar does the deed

Jet Jaguar's theme song has this bit in it:

Gojira to Jagaa de panchi, panchi, panchi
Panchi! Panchi! Panchi!

It means:
"Godzilla and Jet Jaguar fuck, fuck, fuck. Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!"

Ken playing with his Godzilla toys is so wonderfully spooky to me in ways I can’t fully articulate. The Tsuburaya golden age already a nostalgic memory. Godzilla a phantom of an old trauma now conjured up as a noble imaginary friend to do battle with a new environmental cultural fear.

It's the 4th of July. I am wishing a Happy American Independence Day to future Madam President Kayoco Anne Patterson ONLY
A frame from Shin Godzilla (2016). A woman is standing outside in front of a backdrop of a beige wall that has numerous stars cut out of it. She is wearing a kind of flowy maroon pant suit, IDK I don't know clothes. She has a warm and contemplative smile on her face. The words Happy Independence Day, Future Madam President have been added to the image in a script font.
