A Lord of the Rings remake, but with these two taking the One Ring to Mordor:

I have to admit, it isn’t immediately obvious to me how ice cream becomes contaminated with small stones and other hard objects.

Somewhat difficult to not think of this.

Oh good yet another version of HP to argue about.

Anyway, have you listened to the delightful bafflegab production of HELLBOUND HEART, only starring bloody Alice Lowe.

Sorry, I just can’t reconcile 25 years of these displays of American sorrow over a single tragedy with the hundreds of thousands of foreign deaths that flowed from that wound as sacrifices to American vengeance and ambition.

I feel utterly insane watching this play out year after year.

I guess had forgotten that there is a certain type of woman who will react to you saying you used to do fencing by looking you up and down with a mischievous smile, as though you just said the most alluring thing possible.

Because I simply wasn’t prepared.

On paper, Vibes (1988) is amazing. A romantic comedy starring Cyndi Lauper, Jeff Goldblum, Julian Sands, and Peter Falk? Already sold. With Falk as an excentric trying to hire psychics to find the Treasure of the Llanganatis? Ridiculous. Love it.

Sadly the execution is neither romantic or comedic.

It is correct to (mis)pronounce mischievous with four syllables because it is objectively the more mischievous pronunciation.

Are you listening to the new Elanor Moss album? If you love achingly beautiful music from softhearted British medievalists, this is destined to be your autumnal jam.

a dissent most her-etical
I continue to absolutely detest the word “Herstory.”

Let’s leave aside that history comes from the Greek ῐ̔στορῐ́ᾱ (“inquiry”); it’s just ridiculous to separate out the experience of women from the umbrella of history. I don’t want two versions or a binary. I want women implicit in all histories.

I should probably make more of a conscious effort to get back to who I supposedly am, rather than continuing to carry on as this loose collection of memories haunting my own body.

I have had Blink sitting unwatched for a full nine years and finally watched it. If Madeleine Stowe as a blind Celtic violinist struggling through "retroactive hallucinations" to help catch a serial killer of women sounds interesting, you will like me be wrong and disappointed.

Land and Freedom ends with her quoting a poem about the multi-generational fight for freedom, pouring over his coffin the Spanish soil her grandfather kept for decades, and joining his surviving friends in a raised fist salute.

Did I see this as a child and cry so hard I couldn't breathe? MAYBE

Morpheus finishes his speech with a smile, after dozens of recitations he feels certain this was his finest delivery of these truths urgent and essential.

Neo sits in thought for a long while before finally speaking, “it’s actually not so bad as long as you don’t upgrade to Matrix 11.”

I used a rain video to relax and now youtube thinks I want and perhaps need multiple 8-12 hour rain videos. This is logistically implausible, youtube.
