Jamie was trying to invent a villain for the next book he writes.

I volunteered. Evil Mama, spoils all the fun!

He considered this, then said "no. You're more of a nice, tea and books kind of vibe."

Best.
Compliment.
EVER.

I am emotionally processing Stuff that happened in 2023.

I am trying to be measured and sensible about it.

I feel very aware that 2024, 25, and 26 all have their own backlogs too.

The Lion, The Witch, And The Wardrobe.

I got it out of the library SO often. Occasionally someone else would have reserved it and I hated having to relinquish it. A box set of Narnia books was published in the late 80s and my parents got it for me. I still have it.
Never mind what TV programme or film "scarred" you as a kid.

What spoke to you? What book or song grabbed your soul and meant everything?

Even by current standards this is insanity.
The AI minister has used AI-generated synthetic focus groups provided by a private company to test public opinion on AI and other issues

The model is trained on data from real-life focus groups
I hosted an in-conversation with AI minister Kanishka Narayan at Labour conference

We covered a lot of ground...

He said there was too much AI “doomerism” in Westminster

And revealed he has used synthetic AI focus groups to gauge public opinion on a range of topics

This is one of the most excellent life goals I've ever heard. It's not a trite, irritating platitude - it's both meaningful AND achievable.
I am partly fuelled by being happier than Musk, like, it's a Goal of mine. It's a good goal to have. Especially being trans & disabled. I delight in it. I have so much that he will never have, could never have.

Our Sainsbury's is having a refit, also the packaging of the own-brand stuff is being redesigned, also christoween means seasonal product line chaos.

Jamie and I both had total overload in the store this afternoon and we're still both twitchy several hours later.

My mum gave us a massive secondhand Lego set. 2207 pieces, apparently, originally across 11 bags but obviously received in one bag.

I am going through the instructions, sorting the pieces into the 11 bags.

I am on instruction 94 of more than 500.

80 hours of embroidery! This aerial landscape is directly inspired by Dartmoor and I'd say I have another 30-ish hours to go? I'm now starting to fill in the fields for the sheep, the tor area will be done last as I'm still deciding whether I want a slope or not 😅 I hope you like it! #art

Sewing a sort-of curtain with a hole in it for the exhaust tube of our little air conditioning unit.

I used one of those little handheld sewing machines to knock up a proof-of-concept during the summer. The concept is good but ... it was not durable.

Jamie just finished reading "Final Form" of @neillcameron.bsky.social 's Mega Robo Bros series. So far this morning we've had:
1. Discussed ability of various media to make us feel things
2. 🎵Poopy poopy butts butts🎵
3. Existentialism crash course
