There was a time it would have been seen as a sign from God if you fail to execute someone TWICE.
Signed, an agnostic.
John Yoo on Christa Pike, who survived a botched execution: "Why not use the firing squad? So I think what's gonna have to happen is Tennessee is gonna have to go back and try again."

The guy who proclaimed the Iowa Hawkeyes are the Atlanta Hawks also said a month ago that anyone who thinks Michigan fans say "beat Ohio" doesn't know ball. The absolute goat in the crowded "Republicans don't know ball" marketplace. Yes he voted for his govt to control college sports, why do you ask

I know we’re not supposed to goof on people’s looks, but if this is what being a billionaire does to you, I’m happy to be a poor slob

I heard through the grapevine that Sen. Eric Schmitt has 18 staffers on his legislative team: 17 men and one woman. The woman on his staff deals exclusively with foreign policy, which means today's disaster during the hearing was all by conservative men who don't know sports.

swearing aside, the strategy of just making the right stand by the things they say to each other seems pretty good. that was the secret sauce behind the "weird" messaging way back when (that they abandoned for whatever reason)
NEW AD: Listen to this sh*t.

It's my birthdaaaaay!🎊

As an artist, it's often difficult to acknowledge how much I work and how much I improve, so today I want to be nicer to myself and share some of my favourite pieces I made since my last bday.💙

If you'd like to share, it would be a lovely gift!🙏✨

Here’s the most incredible story you’ll read today.

A small plane with four people aboard crashes in a field.

Another pilot witnesses it. That pilot happens to be flying a bunch of skydivers. They offer to jump to assist, are given permission.

The skydivers happen to be EMTs. Everyone survives.
Skydivers alert emergency crews, assist after plane crashes near East Troy airport
Four people were aboard the single-engine plane when it went down in a cornfield near Carvers School Road in East Troy at about 1:30 p.m.

Guys, no one doubts that Tesla is responsible if its cars roll down hills and crash into people (or anything else).

The problem is that until VERY recently, it was not accepted that it was possible for something on wheels that we forgot to put breaks on to travel downhill at high speed.
Guys no one doubts that OpenAI and Anthropic are responsible if their models go rogue.

The problem is that until VERY recently, it was not accepted that it was possible for a bunch of machines to escape virtual captivity, illicitly communicate, collectively strategize, and hack real-world systems.
If I mix unknown chemicals and it blows up a city block, did it go rogue?
Would I be responsible?

GLORIOUS SUCCESS, IAN!
So let me get this right... SpaceX's "successful" orbital launch of Starship lost an engine in flight, was cut from a planned six orbits to two (and SpaceX isn't saying why), neither part is reusable, and the top part blew up on splashdown.

There were more men in a single documented gang rape at one school than the number of competitive trans athletes nationally. But I’ve heard a lot more politicians being asked about protecting girls from one of these scenarios and not another… I’ll let you guess which is which.
There’s something to be said for how most of the political spectrum can unite around hounding some lesbians over niche drama in their spaces but huge segments of society are silent about pervasive campus rape impacting a huge population of primarily youngwomen
