#mathstoday key stage 5 folk… 2 questions if you don’t mind.
How much delivery time do you get weekly?
What grade in maths is your entry requirement to study A level maths?
Early days the grade 6 students are seeming to find it very challenging this year.

#mathstoday help from marker AQA a level paper 3 last year? I’m confused about the independence prob proof question. On the MS it suggests that you need to compare accurate figures for P(TnS) and P(T) x P(S)… but when using fractions it seems to suggest that you need to give common denominator, Tx

#mathstoday A level folk. My question is… does anyone have any strategies to turn more B grades into A grades? The last couple of years I would say High grades in my groups have been pretty solid, however there continues to be a shift into the B grade for students that get A in many mocks. Thanks

Anyone got any good tips for help? Student is applying to Oxford for economics… any tips on good reading around the topic and maths areas to support a student with their application?

#mathstoday #coremaths I can’t seem to find on AQA what area formulae or volume formulae core maths students may be expected to calculate. Thinking out party factory and not getting a handle

Really concerned to hear the Defence Secretary refuse to rule out UK's involvement in future strikes on Iran.

Iraq lessons must be learned.
Further escalation in the Middle East makes us all less safe.

Starmer must rule out UK involvement immediately.

Keir Starmer's aides are reportedly telling him not to go to the COP30 climate conference, because Reform would attack him for it.
Yes, they might.
And he should wear it as a badge of honour.
Standing up for humanity, for science and a habitable planet.
Where's the hazard in that?

@maths people, anyone marked for AQA that I could pose a quick question to?

Tesco makes nearly £4bn profit.

Nearly 50% of its workforce are on Universal Credit, receiving about £600m a year.

Why isn't Tesco paying?

If you’re sick right now, please test for Covid. Stay home if it’s at all possible, and wear a mask. Ideally an N95.

It’s not over. It was never over.

No one is coming to save us so we must save each other.

One of the best ways to do that is to commit to breaking chains of transmission!

This statement from Jonathan Joss's husband is heart breaking.

No, headline writers, he wasn't "killed in an argument with a neighbor." He was *deliberately murdered* for being gay right after his dog was decapitated.

Bet the murderer calls himself a "Christian."

THIS is why Pride is important.

The reality that masked men without proper identification are confronting and arresting and taking away people should be intolerable to anyone who calls themselves American.

#maths #mathstoday folk… anyone on GCSE OCR? If they’ve hit circle theorems in the first higher paper, do they tend to hit it later in the series? Have all my students to prep for Foundation GCSE and my no1 child is sitting OCR
