Many folks suggesting that this phrase is inspired by Neitzsche or Shaw (and it might be!) but a thing to know is that "superman," meaning a man capable of greater things than an ordinary man, is a term that predates both works, as far back as the 1850s...
Wild thing I learned earlier today -- the phrase "This is a job for Superman" predates Superman. I found citations as early as 1909.
