In 2027 Seattle's minimum wage will be $22.14 per hour. That's more than THREE TIMES the federal minimum wage of $7.25 an hour—a rate that hasn't been raised since 2009. And yet somehow we're not the jobless wasteland orthodox economics would predict. Weird.

When they get back in power, Democrats need to go all-in on higher education.

We need a campaign of reinvestment in public universities across the country that makes the Morrill Land-Grant Act look like nothing by comparison *and* a GI Bill of Rights-style program of tuition grants.

This is a good thing. The world needs a strong leader with democratic values and this country is clearly NOT IT!

We voted in fascism in response to a Black POTUS. Far less likely for that to happen in a coalition of countries that all have deep roots in democracy.
