Both my father in law's side and my dad's side of the family are a bunch of NDs.

My wife's uncle has probably one of the biggest collections of home recorded Newcastle FTA TV I've seen. Not sure what is on it but it's probably every showing of boobs.

The other uncle owns a miniature steam train.

I have had some genuinely good regular GPs over the years, in regional QLD too mind you.

But I kinda miss my old autistic GP, felt like I was seeing The Good Doctor in real life.

The "massive" beer tax is about 60c on a schooner. Punters at any pokie palace pay more in GST. www.abc.net.au/news/2026-08...
If we scrap the 'beer tax', will pub culture and live music thrive again?
The cost of alcohol is grinding Australia's old pub culture and live music venues into dust. Should we keep forging ahead with six-monthly increases in the beer excise?

I was driving home this evening from working in FNQ & I was directed off the road for an RBT at the Rollingstone truck pads. Before I was tested everyone incl the coppers turn around to basically this gif coming from (and quickly going back to) the opposite direction.

It's uncanny that all the prominent airline CEOs are Irish.

"I don't want to have to watch you dip your penis into a cup of water" - something I just had to say to my 4yr old

Skytrans lost my baggage coming back to Cairns from Pormpuraaw last night. Was meant to be still up north this week and had to pull the pin on the trip and drive home late last night. Couple grand of electrical equipment, clothes, most of my medication, etc. And zero update today.

I tried vibe coding for the first time today and built a Chrome extension to scrape data and inject into the DOM of my timesheet interface at work. Cost me $6 of API credits. Exploiting Low SES workers or interns is cheaper than AI. I feel dirty.

I asked Spotify to create a playlist "Songs not listened to in 10 years, but played more than twice." And I hate all 8 songs.

Only our rich cunt friends had one of these when I was a kid.
Once you could (semi) pirate Foxtel with a gold card we were all over it. Best part was access to all PPV content including the porno channel as a teenager.

Spent the week in Cooktown/Wujal Wujal and did over 1`700km to and from work site.
A seriously eye opening week watching the recovery from Cyclone Jasper still going on over two years since the biblical flooding.
Treking down the Bloomfield Track in bucketing down rain was also pretty epic.

I'm in Cooktown this week and the wind here is just fucking ridiculous. Silence then a roaring freight train ripping through to the point my unit here is rumbling and I wake up hourly.
