Actually more cheerful than my online presence would suggest.
I post a lot about my hair and my search for miracle potions. And TV. Lots of TV. A bit of football stuff. I'm not very deep.

🇦🇪 Etihad’s Intervention Raises More Questions Than It Answers

Etihad Airways is perfectly entitled to defend its reputation. What it cannot do is make the findings of an independent commission disappear simply by objecting loudly enough.

Where Burnham has fucked up is until recently as PM, his rhetoric and focus has been all about the greater good of the country.

He hasn't given any indication he's in this for his own personal gain or anyone else's in power, and he seemed sincere and believable.

Not sure where all this "and look how harshly poor ickle Everton were treated" has come from.

Everton broke the rules. Teams got relegated instead of them.

Just because City did it on a greater scale and actually won/stole trophies doesn't somehow mean Everton were wrongly punished.

He's basically saying corruption is fine if you do some good stuff on the side. Not the message the PM should be giving.

Oh and Andy? Everton DID break the rules too.
I hope that he can set the record straight but Burnham’s cheerleading for Man City’s owners, yesterday, is deeply concerning.

Rightly or wrongly…it makes you think.

You heard the man. Kick him out of a plane over rural Afghanistan with a pistol. Give him bullets if you're feeling generous. Give him a parachute if you're feeling really generous.

The Manchester City scandal is a significant moment in English football history. On the right side of that history are Rob and Nick Harris. On the wrong side is the man who tried to stare down the former into silence.

For anyone who doesn't understand what sportswashing is, the PM of the UK doesn't want bad things to happen to the club owned by the dodgy regime who've warped our national game for two decades because they've put up nice buildings in Manchester.

Imagine if they investigated the refs who'd officiated in the middle east while being on PGMOL's roster to also officiate high stakes PL matches 👀

Just settling down to read the Man City ruling but I just want to say I love the use of the word "preamble" by legal folks. It's such a cutesy word for something so important.

I'm gonna get a tattoo of this.
Thank YOU. I believe profoundly that the only correct response to pleasure is gratitude rather than guilt

Yknow I don't feel sorry for the City fans.

At best, they knew this was sports washing and they were fiiiiine with it.

Where were the protests to stop a dodgy regime using their club as a plaything?

They might argue they didn't know the extent of what was going on.

But they didn't care either.

I do wonder how deep it goes though. The decisions made by the PGMOL in their favour. Rodri's handball against the Ev. Mac being booted in the chest by Doku. Mo and Sterling's offsides against them. The batshit offside call against Spurs by a ref team who'd JUST COME BACK from a paid junket there.

Obvs watching BBC2 now for Flower of Scotland. Will turn over in a bit for England's usual bore fest.

Best advice is to try not to speculate about a story that for obvious operational reasons, doesn’t yet have all the facts available.

I appreciate if the world did this then we would no longer have a need for 24hr news and endless online discord but that sounds like progress to me.✌️
Re: Fairford suspects.

I’ve seen speculation that maybe they were simply stealing diesel.

I guess that’s possible. That said, the setup certainly matched the MO of a coordinated VBIED assault.

Also, maybe don’t steal fuel in trucks that could easily be bombs next to a base.

IMPORTANT CLARIFICATION:
Excuse me, it's two hours west of Boston! (I grew up right near there is the only reason I know, I do not actually care 😉)

Which is also why it's frickin weird that such a tiny ass town is somehow bringing down the Republic for masking or not masking or being gay or not gay enough??
September 28, 2026 at 11:44 AM
I have only just become aware of the Boston lesbian bar mask outrage.

Yknow, I think people think too much.

And expect too much of themselves.

My advice:
Home cooked meals don't have to be a slog (jacket spuds & cheese, mushroom omelettes, anything in a ninja speedi on the 15min setting).

Kids don't need to do multiple activities. 1-2 is more than enough.

And...

Thing is, you can't even unpick this stuff.
Yes Stoke have a claim to that cup because they were runners up, but what about every other team City played on the way to the final? Who could also conceivably have beaten Stoke in the final?
I hope every club, manager & player that got screwed over kick up as much of a stink as possible. The PL & FA need to understand the depth of feeling that's out there. A tap on the wrists is unacceptable. Removal of those trophies is the absolute minimum. #lfc
