After no train in being on time since like 2020 we now have a train-strike 😆

One thing I've learnt about my own(?) work culture this week is that Norwegians prefer to organize events/meetings/conferences in the middle of the week "to respect people's weekends" and while that's nice I'm also like "what, I'm losing half of Monday to travel?"

Living in rural Sweden this strikes me as weird - as the Tidö government has shown no actual interest in making life easier for folks who don't live within walking distance of Gamla Stan...
Sweden's cities swung left while rural areas moved to the right. Change in left bloc vote share:

Living in rural Sweden this strikes me as weird - as the Tidö government has shown no actual interest in making life easier for folks who don't live within walking distance of Gamla Stan...
There's also arguments being made the government should have done more to get people to vote - but wondering if more votes would have been to their benefits in the areas the right coallition w. SD or if higher turnout would have been a cleaner win for the left in those areas too...
Sweden's election is partly a story of turnout, which fell substantially in municipalities that lean towards the Sweden Democrats

I'm quite tired of US starting forever-wars in the middle east - hoping someone soon will run for president on a platform of promising not to do that...might even get a Nobel...

There's going to be a lot of back and forth in the negotiations over a new Swedish government in the days/weeks to come - with a drop of 3% for SD, and significant growth for V and G - I hope those negotiations take into consideration what it's quite clear voters in Sweden do *not* want.

2am update - ballot/technicalities chatter was kinda high throughout the day (teal) vs. fraud chatter that kept increasing throughout the evening - numbers are still coming in and settling, but this is interesting. What's also interesting is the week-graph which shows peak right before election-day.
