Ich bin noch über Exzellenz gestolpert. Aber ja, genau in dem großzügigen Hinweggehen über Geistes-, Sozial- & Kulturwissenschaften liegt der Hase im Pfeffer. Als ob nicht genau dort die Forschung liegt, die jetzt bedroht ist. Das lässt sich nicht mal mehr mit Unbedarftheit erklären.

Seit heute wissen wir, was die zuständige Arbeitsgruppe im Rahmen der #Koalitionsverhandlungen zum Thema #WissZeitVG schreibt. Eine Sonderausgabe des @table.media wertet das gesamte AG-Papier aus - und hat unsere Einschätzung angefragt. #IchBinHanna

Die Initiative #IchbinHanna bewertet die Verhandlungsergebnisse grundsätzlich positiv. „Unsere Ziele finden verschiedentlich Berücksichtigung, unter anderem durch Mindestvertragslaufzeiten, verbesserte Rahmenbedingungen für mehr Dauerstellen, Anreize für Departmentstrukturen und eine Mittelbau-Strategie inklusive verlängerten Projektlaufzeiten”, sagt Sprecherin Amrei Bahr auf Anfrage von Table.Briefings. Erfreulich sei auch, dass das WissZeitVG bis Mitte 2026 reformiert sein soll. Allerdings drücken sich die Koalitionäre davor, Konkretes zur Postdoc-Phase zu sagen — zuletzt Haupt-Diskussionspunkt der Debatte: „Die neue Bundesregierung muss hier Überzeugendes liefern und sollte das bereits im finalisierten Koalitionsvertrag in Aussicht stellen, nicht zuletzt als Signal an alle, die angesichts prekärer Bedingungen längst mit Wissenschaft als Beruf hadern.“ Das Papier dürfte auch im Sinne der Hochschulrektorenkonferenz sein, weil es über das WissZeitVG hinaus auch Maßnahmen wie die Mittelbau-Initiative vorsieht. Vollmundige Versprechen hatte allerdings auch die Ampel-Regierung zu diesem Themenfeld gemacht. Am Ende kam nicht einmal der Minimalkonsens zustande. Hier muss die neue Regierung liefern, ohne sich noch einmal in ausufernden Debatten zu verstricken.

Meta ist nicht ein Schuljunge, der in seiner Freizeit halt irgendwas downloadet - sondern ein börsennotierter Konzern, der Milliarden-Umsätze macht

Hingegen viele Verlage kämpfen ums Überleben, Autorinnen und Autoren verdienen oft nicht viel mit ihren Büchern - und Meta nimmt einfach ihre Arbeit

Hoffentlich rückt der Verfassungsschutz den Bericht bald raus. Da bin ich sehr neugierig drauf.
