Similar to what @tomflood.bsky.social often says, one of the reasons I love living in a city because I value my time and just don't want to go far for stuff.
I just went downstairs, walked three minutes to a boulangerie, and got a warm baguette. Tell me again why 15-minute cities are bad.

I've been sceptical about this but the stars are aligned. The Catholic right oppose contraception for preventing pregnancy, and the Evangelical right say it leads to premarital sex. But now the now the techbro right wants more native-born babies and the racist right wants more white babies.

I'll admit, part of why I'm so skeptical of the emerging realignment thesis of this election is that it just seems so *random* that it would happen NOW, after ten years of Trump being a remarkably consistent public figure and ten years of remarkably consistent political trends.
