So, euh... interesting discussions in the last couple days. Made me look again 👀 at the choices I've made building @sifa.id (public profiles...) 😅

I've managed to build a Gemini Spark automation that every week checks the @leaflet.pub repo on @tangled.org and emails me a summary of what new features are the works. And, let me tell you, there's cool stuff in the works.

We should be more brave on saying "Atmosphere Account" regardless of people understand it or not.

Just like Fediverse bros did.
Atproto can't be a common thing if people are too afraid to say it.

Published v0.8.0 of tangled.org/jola.dev/lat..., my Elixir atproto OAuth client library.

Some of the improvements: parsing and building SpaceURIs, extracting timestamps from TIDs, and token refreshes are now wrapped in unlinked Tasks, ensuring they are not interrupted by caller exiting.

We should stop calling it as Bluesky "account".
It's Bluesky "profile", not "account".

I'm not saying people should learn about the whole #atproto business to use Bluesky, but at least they should know that their "account" is part of larger world and not tied to just Bluesky.
Getting lots of questions about login. When you login to bsky38.com you're really logging into your Bluesky account on their webpage. We never see your password.

Bluesky can let other websites use it as authentication, similar to "Login with Google." The screen found here

I forgot. How do I add bluesky feed to my list? Is this one of the private data that isn't in PDS yet?
September 4, 2026 at 7:29 PM
This is pretty good idea ngl
The easiest improvements are UX using existing features, like:

1. automatically detect when someone's post goes viral, and prompt the user if they'd like to turn on anti-virality features that exist (like disabling replies, blocking quote posting, not showing posts in algorithmic feeds, etc)

I see so many people think atproto is bad because relay exists as global event stream and running a relay is expensive.

Man, try running a mastodon instance with feed made by 46M users and see how much it costs. This kind of *optimization* services exist because entire protocol is built for scale.
The FSF is such a joke.

- Claims Bluesky PDS is harder to run than Mastodon
- Seems to think you have to run a relay??
- Wrote their own client for posting but didn’t make it handle hyperlinks
- Tries to knock Bluesky for… “nonfree JavaScript” which is the dumbest phrase I’ve heard in ages

Goofy.

So... @fsf.org is fighting against free softwares..?

> signing up for Bluesky means loading the registration page's nonfree JavaScript

> Hosting your own Bluesky PDS and relay is technically possible, but generally far more difficult and resource-intensive than spinning up an instance of Mastodon
