It’s high time we started addressing President Trump as “Mr. Brown.” Who’s with me?
Go stand next to Waymo car on a hot day and you can hear the planet melting. Its cooling system is working overtime to keep that stupid hot hunk from blowing a lid.

AI is like a leaf blower. It does something that looks like work, but it takes a lot of energy, is really obnoxious, and you could do that work too, using the body that nature gave you.

AI and leaf blowers make you less human, and that SUCKS.

I wish Republican politicians had the capacity to be embarrassed by their dishonesty. The fact that they don't makes them more dangerous.

Today, the Trump administration finalized a rollback of fuel economy standards for passenger cars and trucks. This move effectively kills the nation's CAFE standards, a program that has saved drivers $321 billion in fuel costs since 2010.

"They must always coddle drivers about how hard things are for them, how they’re victims of the system as much as anyone else."

A nice take-down of nice boomer Peter Gleick. The old have screwed us all with their addiction to easy fossil-fueled living.
I had just learned of Peter Gleick three weeks ago as a carbrain opponent of bike lanes in California. Then as an active NIMBY. But then, I saw serious defenses of him as a climate scientist.

So I tried to reconcile them. Can't. There is a harmful tension.

The reason tech oligarchs scoop up media properties is to control societal narratives about their products and themselves.

They want to blunt criticism and shape public perception because deep down they know that no one wants any of this.

I just read an AP article referring to Trump engaging in "high stakes talks" with Xi. Does anyone really think Trump is coherent enough to do any such thing? Plus, he's an idiot. Reupping: presswatchers.org/2026/09/dona...

Two-thirds of travelers express an interest in lowering their carbon footprint, but environmental impact ranks as having the least influence on destination choices.

Who, me stop traveling?

We either tax our way to mass survival or we take us all down together.
Travelers Are Reckoning With the Ultimate Disrupter: Climate Change www.nytimes.com/2026/09/25/t...

One traveler decided to stop flying 4 years ago after looking at a flight-tracking app - tens of 1000s of planes in the sky worldwide. “Flying is one of the worst things you can do to the planet…”
How Climate Change Is Disrupting Summer Travel
Once dismissed as occasional inconveniences, climate-related disruptions are now an inescapable fixture of summer travel. How will travelers respond?

How it works:
1. You pay me money.
2. I declare it as my freelance business income — Citizen Writer — and pay all the taxes on it.
4. I spend the rest of it staying alive.
5. You have helped me, and you have helped our communities: all neighbors, and all fellow Americans.

Very long lines at the supermarket today, 10+ people, 25+ minutes wait. A teenage boy has a single item to purchase, but decides he won’t wait in these lines, so he just walks out with it, and all the security guards stand by watching it happen. Thanks, President Trump I mean Mr. Brown.

TV news, every time they have new video of Trump speaking, should replace the video with an old photo of him; and every TV station uses that one pic.

A single historic photo of his dumb fucking face. To remind us of our national mistake.
