We mandate seatbelts to save lives.

We mandate education to build futures.

Why don't we mandate forest restoration to save the planet?

Bare land should be illegal when we have the seeds to heal it.

The latest Guardian megapoll showing nearly half of voters want to rejoin the EU—and that embracing re-entry boosts electoral support—shatters the myth that Brexit is settled. Timidity on Europe isn't safe politics; it's holding Britain back. Why delay the inevitable? 🤔 #FBPE

"Dear Diary,
There were six by-elections in England and Scotland this week and Reform lost all of them. Two of them were seats we previously held. The problem with running councils is that people can see how useless we are."

Nearly 10 years ago, Nigel Farage told LBC he would leave the country if Brexit were not a stunning success. For reasons that no one can quite fathom, he is still here. Could it be that he is a man who can’t be trusted to keep his word? Surely not www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

❤️ “The commitments Burnham made today would make Britain a kinder, wealthier, better country. But more than that, they would serve as a demonstration: that mainstream politics still has the strength to grapple with the problems Britain faces and solve them.”

Prepare Britain to rejoin the EU now, Sadiq Khan tells Burnham.
The Mayor of London says a case for rejoining the bloc must be made now rather than sprung on voters at the last minute before another election.

Absolutely fascinating to see Laura Kuenssberg interviewing Burnham, flailing to adjust her stance to a politician with a moral argument and a positive message, who stands up for his policies and answers her questions clearly. She is getting so agitated at him not playing the game by the 'rules'.
