really enjoyed this one! by taking such a zoomed in approach to 1658-60 and depicting events at the pace people lived through them, it quite convincingly argues that the republic's fall was far from inevitable, even after cromwell's death

i think theres a reasonable middle ground on the stevens stuff which is that something weird and unhealthy seems to be happening with her and she probably needs help, but also that shes still the scum of the earth and a traitor who deserves to be obliterated. i dont think those are contradictory

Your job as the loser of a primary is to support the nominee. It doesn’t matter if the loser is to your right or to your left or to a secret third direction. That’s the way it works, and failing to do so should get you blackballed from the party.
