Finally updated my iOS from 17 to the current. It feels like the UX designers discovered 2003 MySpace? The visualisation of the volume buttons, swoopy movements, font change, and liquid glass all have strong Comic Sans vibes (and not in the “actually a helpful accessibility font” kind of way).

I wish my brain didn’t replay every way I wronged the Boy I Loved In High School every time I think of him (which is unfortunately every day at work this week because of the nerd/gamer con he used to be a part of that is in the theatre building this week).

Finally listening to Sara Bareilles’ new album.

Struggling through the very last book for my summer book bingo blackout. I do not understand how this book was shortlisted for several awards?! I am struggling through this one even more than last years least favorite book.

Officially got my “90 days to select a new plan” email. *sigh*
The moment Biden’s student loan forgiveness was announced I knew there was no way it would actually happen. Thankful my loan total is relatively small compared to many, but also I’d like to buy a house (wouldn’t that the economy more?)

Seven+ months later, I’m on a full show here. I continue to be this person’s new favorite person due to having previously used HandBrake & smc fan control and remembering what we needed to do with the QLab computer at the end of each rehearsal, lololol
Just finished prep for the new play festival show I’m SMing, my first job at this big theatre in town.
The person who helped set my computer up to print is convinced I’ve worked there because he recognizes my name; I haven’t, but I’m totally fine with folks knowing my name. 🎉

Boss at current gig specifically told us to not answer emails or texts (unless it’s an emergency) outside of work hours. And rehearsals are daytime. Which means I get home from work before 7 and am actually off for over 12 hours?! 🤯😍🎉

Did not get the job originally offered, but did get one that lasts longer & at a higher (union) rate.

Was offered a first level gig at a theatre I’ve dreamt of working at since high school. I have a couple conflicts during prep week. I’m really hoping they are willing to work around that. I really want to add this theatre to my resume this year. (The universe brings me what I need when I need it.)

Back home in my beloved PNW.
Everything here is better than Denver. The temperature, our airport, TREES, mountains all around (holy crap Denver is so flat!).
The only points Denver gets is my heart-sister of 21 years and the incredible Italian restaurant we went to on my birthday.
