I’m glad to see students have this resource, but what if local food that supports our regional farmers was affordable and available as part of the tuition our students are already paying? We know how important nutrition is to education. Our students shouldn’t need food shelves to survive at school.

Congress hasn't passed a budget without a last-minute continuing resolution since the late ‘90s.
The American people deserve better. It’s time for leaders in DC to offer actual solutions, build bipartisan coalitions, and get things done for the people they represent.

If folks in the Democratic party cannot find it within themselves to be absolute staunch supporters of trans people's rights because trans people are people who have inherent worth, then they should at least do it because if we give up on trans people, then we're literally giving up on democracy.
We are at the break glass moment on the Democratic Party and its treatment of transgender people, and it is my opinion that if we don’t act now and loudly demand to be heard, we will suffer the consequences of their shift.

I’ll save you all the time: while this thread is interesting in its own right, it has very little to do with the topic at hand. Mayor Her is abusive towards city staff, and no amount of context can justify it.
My point about needing to see more about Her and Henry's sexual harassment lawsuit is that we've only seen 1. photos she sent and 2. Henry's claims. But we don't know the larger context around them yet.

My take on the Marcy Kaptur ad: there’s a lot of people who are in denial that their rhetoric is leading to ads like that from Democratic candidates. The handwaiving away of rhetoric from Talorico, Acton, and Hinojosa was always going to lead here.
