He is an incredible numbers wonk and a delight to work with. Do NOT forget to vote for Zack Filipovich, the only accountant in the race, and tell your friends to do so too.

And I mean month after month, not the month before screenings were held or the month he needed something from Labor. He's since showed up routinely even after leaving the council, because he's a former union member and believes in organized Labor.

I'm not speaking for the Duluth Central Labor Body, but guests are generally welcome at the monthly meeting. In the eight years I've been a delegate, Zack is the guest I've seen most at those meeting. As a city councilor, he would show up & just ask if anyone had something they wanted to talk about.

steve timmer tells zack filipovich that two previous state auditor candidates - rebecca otto and julie blaha - both appeared on drinking liberally before they won so it’s a good omen he is on the program tonight

michael shannon recreating michael stipe's old outfits is easter eggs for R.E.M. nerds like me. here he is wearing the sideways hat from 1991 and the big coat from 1985... they never match the era he's touring lol

workers drive minneapolis has passed the minneapolis city council! this requires autonomous vehicles to have a human safety monitor and bans remote operation, and also preserves local jobs largely held by immigrants over big tech. from a public memo released by robin wonsley -

We can reasonably assume these commuters are the folks @mndot.mn.gov prioritizes when they decide to expand I94 in Saint Paul and Minneapolis. That might ease congestion for a year or two before it gets worse overall and forever. Wouldn't it be great instead to spend those millions on transit?
Drivers are in an uproar because they have to sit in their own traffic for a few minutes on I-94 between Woodbury and their jobs in Minneapolis. On Reddit they say it's because Target is back to the office and the U is in session. Humbly: what did these people expect?

still a horrible decision by the city to allow private vehicles here. this should only be open for transit like the 18, the last thing we need is another north-south street for drivers to speed in and out of downtown. i think a bottleneck was good for eat street which already has too many cars on it
Love to see the New Nicollet nearing completion. (Former K Mart site). Best part is definitely going to be how the 18 bus route will speed up without having to detour.

Complaints have limited legal value outside their case, but the one suing for the murder of Renee Good is an important cultural document. It tracks a grand opera of horror and hate that culminated in the death of a woman at the hands of her government.

Corrupt former council member hosting a Florida-based podcast is yet another way St Paul has surpassed Minneapolis as the edgy bad boy of the Twin Cities.
Former St. Paul City Council Member (and 1-time mayoral candidate) Dai Thao has a podcast, and Mayor Her went on it last week to dish for an hour in Hmong. Getting this translated was a bear 🐻 — ask 2 people to translate a turn of phrase, expect different answers: www.twincities.com/2026/09/30/m...

I’m stilly trying to understand what happens if you’re in a Waymo and it majorly gets t-boned by another driver. To the point where whatever interior car cameras and other computer systems are broken, Are you potentially trapped alone and injured in a now disabled automated vehicle?

I believe the reason why it isn't used anymore is because the plumbing and water doesn't work. It's in the Loring Park master plan though as being concessions once it is fixed.

Noteworthy racism: DOJ/DHS said they arrested people from Liberia, Ghana, and Brazili for illegally voting. But they didn't mention the white South African, Lithuanian, Canadian, German, or Bosnian who they also arrested and charged.
Are Blanche and Mullin drunk? Seems like they're both having trouble speaking clearly in this press conference. Especially Mullin, it's like his mouth is gonna fall off his face.

You have to ask yourself why do you need The Star Tribune pretending they’re saying something relevant when you’ve heard it 100 times from folks to the left of you, but ignored it every time you heard it? Even though it was just as reasonable and prudent then as it is now.

Huh, u don’t say? I wonder where we’ve heard this before, years before? many times before? Minneapolis needs a true reckoning with itself the residents as well as the politics, particularly the comfortable residents

This is yet another stunt by the Department of Justice attacking the integrity of Minnesota's federal judges. In emails to habeas petitioners' lawyers, they have complained that they feel getting certain judges means they automatically lose. And they've openly attacked individual judges before.
Attorney General Todd Blanche (I think?) is calling it a "flagrant violation of the Code of Judicial Conduct." He's calling all their statements false.

Blanche is now asking the Eighth Circuit to conduct an investigation and recuse themselves from any and all cases involving DHS for bias.

did you know that loring park was the first in the minneapolis park system to lease a private concession area? in the 1980s, the little building in loring park was a restaurant called loring picnic place that sold sandwiches

bring it back, park board! this is what i voted for!

In version 1, Anders Folk signed the indictment against Derek Chauvin for murdering George Floyd.

In version 2, he really needs an overwhelming number of MAGA voters to break his way.
anders folk is telling minneapolis residents that he is a democrat, but the message he sends suburban residents doesn’t mention any political affiliation

the part about ICE is also removed which seems like a misstep. operation metro surge hit the whole state, why not tell all of hennepin county?
