I'd be a lot more open to Huang's line of argument if I saw any evidence that people are becoming better systems thinkers. But I don't think that's happening; quite the opposite, actually. Learn your damn multiplication tables, kids, it matters.

The BP oil spill (I live in Louisiana) reinforced to me that we're so happy when cos. use tech to do new things that we don't make them account for contingencies, and it's really backward.
