My three-year-old was at the Ed Sheeran concert when she turned to me gravely and asked "Daddy, why isn't the nice white rapper performing?" And when I told her "Because an old guy who visits teen-aged prostitutes had him cancelled," she started crying.

Trump put forward a ridiculously one sided deal and thought Canada would cave. Ottawa has now suspended negotiations with Washington and will match the 50% tariffs dollar-for-dollar. When prices on food, aluminium, steel and energy skyrocket remember: Trump did that.

Couldn’t be because the midterms are in… 74 days, right? Right?

I've told this story before and I suppose now it's time to do it again.

When I was in 9th grade, my English teacher was the elderly sort of man who always wore a gray flannel suit and had a cigarette before class and a cigarette at the end of class every period.
It seems like assigned reading, especially summer reading, should include titles from different genres, with different tones, from different eras.

(And as a former sulky Anne Rice-reading teen, I advocate for some over-the-top moodiness in the mix with realistic problem fiction and happier tales.)

Epic fail.
Why wasn't a senior sportswriter like Kawakami able to get much or all of the other "85%" with diligent reporting?

This was a major accident in which the 49ers head coach "broke his nose, 3 ribs, hand, needed 40 stitches and suffered a severe concussion.”

And it sat unreported for 11 days.
