To the tune of Alanis Morissette's "You Learn" (I went to the booth later and gave my song to the gals working. They were tickled 😀)

I've heard people make claims that AI would lead to a new Renaissance, but I didn't imagine it'd happen like this:

Indeed. This point can't be stressed enough. "Sex-based" is a term we've always used to describe *discrimination*, and its sudden mainstreaming as pseudo-feminism in the UK reveals it as a poison that unravels the entire liberal democratic architecture of civil rights.

I wrote about it here.

We have a Foley quality spooky door at work. Sometimes it sounds like a cat. We could grease it, but that would ruin the fun. 👻

I live in an Idaho-adjacent state and am now following this story with interest. It would be very funny if Bsky could help get a non-Republican elected to the Senate from Idaho.
ok, i kind of think Todd Achilles is the real deal candidate-wise. i gave him some money.

i'm going to sit down and do some math and try to figure out if this is legitimately a no-hoper or if this is a longshot-big-payoff bet, but if there's a chance we may do some cooking for him on Bsky
goin’ to a Todd Achilles fundraiser, gonna see how the Sensible Centrists live

A couple weeks ago, I gave my evening bus driver some bread (my coworker is always bringing extra Gaston's to the office). Today, he gave me a hunk of chocolate pecan zucchini bread that his fiancee made. Said it's for, "always bringing positive energy to the bus" 🥹 made my day 💖

Ten years ago today, she died from complications from her second kidney transplant. She was better than any person I've ever met.

I asked our IT guy yesterday how old he was on 9/11. Five. He said he only remembers his folks being upset. He then asked me a number of very thoughtful questions about the emotions I felt and what it was like for me (18, second week of college and away from home for the first time). It was sweet.

Here's an anecdote: On 9/10/2001, The Onion staff had a New York launch party at the Bowery Ballroom to celebrate the staff's move from Madison, Wisconsin to New York City.

They woke up hungover, took a week off, and then produced one of the greatest front pages in the history of newspapers.
Hey everybody. On the 25-year anniversary, we're reprinting the much revered 9/11 edition of The Onion and sending that free to every member this month.

It's been 25 long years. Look back in anger.
