I just think it’s strange that all the gambling companies have ads with athletes and celebrities instead of featuring all their users who have become millionaires betting, very strange indeed

The cultural shift from Jaguars to Titans as the NFL's punching bags in spite of the Jaguars not actually doing anything needs to be studied
it's not even a joke the Tennessee Titans could play a thousand years and have a thousand seasons where they don't win shit

All of the schools spending more than my school are morally bankrupt and all of the schools spending less than my school are poor
So much work by my colleagues went into this. (To be clear I did absolutely none of that work, but saying "so much work by my colleagues went into this" is an old trick that makes people think you must have been really helpful. Keep that one in mind for when you need it)
Does your college football roster cost $8M or $50M? Here's our report on 68 teams (Gift Article)
The best teams are, on average, the ones paying players the most, but there's a wide disparity between the schools at the top and the bottom of major conferences.

What Pablo Torre did was ridiculously impressive. Uncovered a conspiracy between rich guys, withstood a propaganda campaign by one of the richest guys in the world with a pretty good reputation, didn't buckle or panic, and just kept reporting. That's some Pulitzerin' right there.

Loser behavior from a guy who’s clinging like a shriveled old barnacle to a sport he doesn’t actually care about in a desperate bid for relevance. Do not cede one inch to him or anyone who acts this way.
Much as I hate to give Kanter the time, nobody here will support him anyway. Sky players kept Tasha away from him

I think news stories centered on weirdo toxic detractors should provide a head count of how many actual complaints there are and then provide what percentage they represent of the entire estimated fandom.

The ending to the first episode of Lanterns has upset some fans, who say that the show "definitely isn’t honoring the comics" and that it's a "garbage universe that disrespects the characters of DC." https://bit.ly/3UodudL

hundreds of millions got the COVID vaccine and there were so few problems that the main form of criticism turned into "friend-of-a-friend" hearsay stories, so this guy can't actually cite an actual case but knows his base will think they know people who know people this may have happened to
Sen. Roger Marshall: "Who didn't have a friend who took this vaccine and had some time of complication? A stroke, a blood clot, a young man getting some type of heart inflammation. That's what destroyed the trust in the American people for our government."

Two of my favorite studios (probably) killed by Xbox in one fell swoop, awesome
BREAKING: Several Xbox studios, including Compulsion, Ninja Theory and Double Fine, are negotiating with Xbox as they try to avoid closure. Some or all could spin off.

Lots still in flux as many studios remain unsure about what's happening.

Here's the latest: www.bloomberg.com/news/article...
Studios in Microsoft’s Xbox Division Brace for Closures
The studios, which include Compulsion Games and Double Fine, are in active negotiations with Xbox and may be given the chance to go independent.

If you’re a fan of a sports team
A good team
A bad team
A team that can’t get out of their own way
A team that seems like god has cursed them
Keep being a fan of that team
