Last month, 750 CCL volunteers made permitting reform a central topic of more than 400 meetings with Congress. Now, we're continuing to see encouraging news that permitting reform will be a central topic when the Senate reconvenes after the Aug. recess.

Over 90% of new power capacity built in the U.S. in the first half of 2026 was clean! The latest U.S. Energy Information Administration data, analyzed by @insideclimatenews.org, shows solar, wind, and battery storage are doing the heavy lifting to help America meet its energy demands.
We looked at the 368 new U.S. power plants that went online in the first half of this year, and this list tells a story of a boom in utility-scale solar, plus lots of batteries.

In May 2026, 85% of California's energy came from clean sources, and more than half came from solar power. We love to see it!
