Very arbitrarily, like most decisions in life, I decided to leave my #analog notebook behind while preparing for a three days trip.

“I have barely used it in the past weeks” I thought, “I won't even notice it's not there”
Guess what? In three days I had a lot of things on my mind.🧵

Will I first:

- Drink dirty water
- Dip brush in coffee
- Do both in close succession.

Have you ever had the feeling that animals do not read your paper?

I feel they should, so they'd know HOW TO BEHAVE.

I will accept that Claude has a PhD level intelligence ONLY WHEN it will cite its sources all the time, without being asked!
Of course I'm kidding, it has to learn how to cry as well.

What do you think about flowers?

Just kidding. They are cool, right? 😍🌻

I get more out of pushing an idea into existence than almost anything else.

It might start with some version of "what if we tried this" before I've fully thought it through, then sent to someone (regret optional).

What's the thing that does that for you?

Question: do I know anyone near Nantes who would be willing to pick up a dead gull-billed tern and its logger? L49 has sadly been killed near a road. I’d be very grateful for a picture and the logger and would of course reimburse postage.

Do you have persistent problems with people knocking on your door?

Do you need clear signage?

You have 45 minutes to get a door hanger from the Open Science Tools booth #APS2026BCN

What host did Cecilia use for her personal scientist website?

Github ✨️

In the morning, the covers are removed & washed, the floors cleaned of any guano.

This practice has been in place since the mid-19th century.

A similar practice is used in the Palace of Mafra's smaller library, built around the same time. The chiropteran sentries are efficient & inexpensive.
