We are in a bad spot yall. My landlord will not accept the rent being late and is either going to charge me and added 200$ to 300$ as a late fee or kick me out at the end of the month I thank you all for the support you all have given me, every kind message, repost and like has made me smile so much

I emailed top USA Today editors on Friday, in the hopes that there was some misunderstanding. No response. Unilaterally feeding entire interviews into an AI slop machine is not OK. It has to stop.
If USA Today is indeed unilaterally putting source interviews in some sort of database, in their entirety, allowing them to be cherry-picked by other reporters—and *AI*(!!)—that is journalistically indefensible and no one should ever talk to them again. Is this true? Is it Gannett wide?
Earlier this week, I agreed to interviews with two USA Today journalists. They wrote fantastic articles about the Cornell case that I'm proud to have been a part of.
What I did not know is that their employer considers interviews to proprietary and opens up recordings to be used by any journalist.

This is your occasional reminder that generative "AI" in particular could have been developed on public domain materials and/or licensed and compensated works but the major players intentionally, methodically and systemically chose to steal labor from working creative folks instead

been poking around altstream and it's actually got me sort of pumped. it looks like the first actual alternative to twitch among other streaming options, using common twitch features such as raids and channel points. it also loads like a dream on my super slow connection. it's very promising imo.

I'm gonna be entirely honest, my goal here is to run all the shit for streaming myself, and utilize the other platforms to drive traffic home. If I can manage to do the self-hosted streaming, and anything happens to the other platforms, I will still have my own shit to fall back on.
