I teach American politics, which has been a very difficult job for the last ten years. Social media sarcasm makes it more tolerable.
Every accusation is a confession with these people. Why should voter fraud be any different?

George Washington woukd be very, very interested in dental technology.

(I'm being entirely serious here. He was always very sensitive about his teeth. Fixing that would interest him most.)

Jesus tells us to care for the sick and welcome the immigrant. So I'm pretty sure Franklin Graham is actually telling us to vote for Democrats here.

This thread is what social media is made for.

I have no opinion to share.

The “Tommy” shown in this viral video from Abdul El-Sayed is a former staffer for Sen. Josh Hawley and the son of a GOP strategist.

For nearly five minutes, El-Sayed questioned the man about his understanding of the Constitution and the religious freedom it affords all Americans. Simply brilliant.

There is no state in the U.S. where it is illegal to record in a situation like this. I hope this video, along with the other one where his constituents laugh at him, spreads widely.
Republican Rep. Andy Harris incorrectly told a reporter they were breaking the law as the reporter and others recorded an exchange with him last night.

Harris had just wrapped up a debate with Democratic challenger Dan Schwartz.

Zionism—as a movement—ended in 1948.

I’ve no idea why anyone continues to use the term.

It has the same relevance now as “Whigs” or “Know-Nothings.”

The question now is if one thinks Israel should keep existing. It’s a yes or no question. If no, you want it ended by force—the only way it happens.
What Is Zionism?
To understand what the word means today, you have to go back to the beginning of the story.

They won't impeach anybody on the first day. They will start investigations that lead to impeachment, but it takes time to do it right.

But I don't think Trump will be first. I'm expecting Hegseth. Then maybe RFK Jr.
JENNINGS: Let's say Democrats take the House. How sure are you that they would immediately move to impeach President Trump?

MIKE JOHNSON: It's guaranteed. Probably on the first day.

So that rules out every member of Donald Trump's administration, then.

What a fucking clown show. No, that's not fair; clowns generally have their shit together far better than Republican Senators.

Be sure to watch all three videos. It would be hilarious if it were not so outrageous and appalling.
extremely weird shit during the Jack Smith hearing -- Sen. Eric Schmitt's team briefly displays a poster board that Schmitt claims contains evidence Smith committed perjury, but then Schmitt's team takes it down before anybody can read it and refuses to show Smith what it says

Obviously this is morally outrageous, but I am especially struck by the mind-boggling stupidity of a political candidate creating this sound bite. Even if Paxton were not absolutely bereft of integrity and moral decency, his political instincts would make him a dreadfully awful candidate.

One thing that's been bugging me today: people who claim Dolly Parton wasn't political.

False. She was very political. Her art and life's work were about interrogating power + amplifying the powerless.

You only think she wasn't political because she did this by example, not bullshit slogans.
