Watched Absolute Power tonight and man, there are some great parts, but it feels a bit like a fantasy for Eastwood. I don’t know why I wanted to see this so badly in middle school.

Tonight’s 90’s movie recommendation is Above the Rim. A genuinely well executed coming of age movie with a sports backdrop, plus a fantastic soundtrack and some great performances. I wanna play ball again, but watching the action makes my knees hurt. #moviereview #tupacshakur #basketball #90smovies

An amazing soundtrack and gorgeous cinematography do not make up for this bloated, wildly inaccurate historical epic. You are better off leaving 1492 in 1992.

Reviewing a bunch of 90’s movies this year on Letterboxd, profile is zerobird…two recommends out of the first set: The 13th Warrior and 29th Street, solid flicks through and through.

Finished The Sword of Kaigen by M.L. Wang and flawed masterpiece is the best description I can muster. Is it perfect? No. However, this story will stick with me as long as I live. Beautiful.

What’s a movie you shouldn’t have seen at a young age? Mine is The Toxic Avenger, my mom only let me rent it because I watched The Toxic Crusaders…so in her mind it was made for kids….I was like 7, and it was awesome.

First I read a couple of chapters of Blood Meridian, now I’m watching Toxie be Toxie and later I’ll be playing Persona 4, I’m all over the fucking place tonight.

My dream is to now open an arcade that specializes in 1980’s Japanese arcade cabinets…it’ll be niche, but I promise to only play ska

I really need distributors to man up and release Macon Blair’s Toxie movie…it’s got to be amazing, especially with Peter Dinklage as the one and only Avenger

Seriously, Toxie is the greatest superhero of all time, his way of justice is to boil a man alive and put vegetables and ramen in the boil, all why covering his eyes in the presence of topless women…straight up respectful

I should have gone to the GWAR concert instead of watching that fight, at least the undercard and co-headliner fights were amazing.

Worst “walk out” in boxing history. I love Phil Collins, but this is just cheesy and gross.

The new Lorcana set looks awesome, will be picking up a trove tomorrow, those new enchanted, while not as cool as Skies, really impress me.
