I made some of the ugliest + most terrible fanworks alive to get to where I am now. When I started, I was doing sins with digital art that would get me publicly mocked now. Today, I can draw the human figure from 360 degrees from memory. Maybe give people space to learn and be bad, and we get good.

If nothing else, the sudden flood of horrible articles last week has confirmed beyond all doubt that all frothing transphobes are also frothing ableists, and therefore their shameless attempts to pit trans and disabled people against each other are mendacious in the extreme and not worth attention.

I don't think Americans are told how bad it is in Europe right now - Europe is the continent heating up the fastest because of human induced climate change.

It's not "too woke" to say that straight men who rape women should be reviled for being rapists, not tarred as secretly queer. To imply they're gay, or that they wear dresses, to distance them from manhood, is to insist that their violence is "deviant" rather than utterly banal and normative.

I know personally RTing stuff has high power. Sharing someone's work can change the trajectory of their day. and add comfort to how they feel about sharing. it seems very trivial but the concept of like "hey this is great im going to show literally everyone I know on here" is actually very strong

Word of mouth on social media is a huge driver of products and services, but you can’t MAKE that happen by throwing money at it as effectively as you can steer the conversation by paying for video production (or AI, ugh). Advertisers now, as they did in 1953, prefer not to be spoken over.
