Symbols matter. White House isn't a palace. Kennedy Center is for the general public to enjoy. We don't have a triumphal arch in DC because that's imperial. We don't put the president's face on money because it's monarchical. It's about tearing down everything that says we're a democratic republic.

Today in @Newark at least two maybe more skilled construction workers were taken by ICE early this morning on Labor Day. No criminal records just decent normal people working on our housing project who now can't. Hurting people whose charges are civil violations should be a crime #StopICE @aclu.org
