Omfg I finally found my old thread about what Toraki's route in a dating sim would be like. Why did it take me so much effort lmao
clockworkcanine.bsky.social Rhy @clockworkcanine.bsky.social · Oct 20
Idly thinking about how a dating sim/romance option in an rpg with my ocs would go and Toraki would be like, the one who is friendly and seems kinda like a simple and basic route but in actuality you have to put in a shit ton of effort to unlock his route

update from a mod on r/Ao3 who received a response from OTW on the situation 👇
Hey so there is a little bit of a situation but we contacted AO3's support/legal/systems teams and got a response to give to everyone. The basic situation is that there is a site called ao3.life that got spun up using an old scrape of the archive and are requiring user information to take down any fics that they reposted. Here is the basic message that AO3's support team is sending to anyone who has reached out to them: Hello, Thank you for reaching out to the OTW. We have received reports of websites and/or applications designed to resemble the Archive of Our Own (AO3) and host fanworks originally posted to the Archive, including some that have AO3 branding or are commercializing unauthorized versions of the works. We are aware and are taking action, but please be patient because the legal system is much slower than online life. Our priority in these situations is the protection of fans and fanworks. External sites that imitate AO3's appearance, use our branding in a misleading way, or give the impression of being affiliated with or endorsed by the OTW raise legitimate concerns. These actions can create confusion for users and may undermine the trust fans have in our organization. Because of this, we reserve the right to enforce our trademarks and address potential misuse of our brand. Regarding individual works, the Policy and Abuse committee of the Archive of Our Own can only take action on violating activity that occurs on AO3 itself. We (OTW) are not able to remove plagiarized works from other sites. AO3 and the Organization for Transformative Works do not hold any rights of ownership or copyright to the fanworks posted on our site – all such rights remain with the fanwork creators. As such, we cannot request that a site remove a work on a fanwork creator's behalf. If you are contacting us about ao3 [dot] life, the site's operator purports to have uploaded your works for you, it is liable for copyright infringement. As such, you can send a takedown demand, but it is not eligible for DMCA protection. Only the copyright owner (the creator of the fanwork), or someone legally authorized to act on their behalf, can file a DMCA claim with a site that is hosting infringing content. If your work has been posted elsewhere without your permission, you will need to contact the site yourself to request that they remove the unauthorized copy of your work. Always remember to protect your information when submitting forms online, especially to an unknown entity. Sites may request you write using the email on your AO3 account to verify ownership. Your AO3 email is not public, so there is no way for them to verify this information. For more information on how to protect yourself online during downtime, refer to our recent post: https://transformativeworks.tumblr.com/post/832104341970321408/staying-safe-online-best-practices-during-the-ao3. If you have specific questions about fanworks and copyright, you can contact our Legal committee: https://www.transformativeworks.org/contact_us/?who=Legal%20Advocacy We're sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience as we work to restore the website as soon as possible. Please keep an eye on our status page (otwstatus.org) and our other official channels (https://www.transformativeworks.org/where-find-us/) for updates regarding downtime. Best, [SIGN OFF] We were also advised to tell you all that you should not send ao3.life your information. Let the legal team handle the problem and give it some time to get everything sorted out. Also we were asked to let everyone know that they don't need more reports about this. They already know and are dealing with it. More reports will just bog things down.

Okay maybe it's a little difficult telling which of my ocs is which considering they each have multiple forms so first up, here's Toraki. He's got his human form but also his dog and eagle forms. He's also my main in ffxiv where he's a catboy

• (Asked about NPC date events) While I understand the request, what if it doesn't align what what you expect a date would look like? I'm not saying anything will happen to a given character, but if they were to leave the story, it would constrain us.
