I try to have two WIPs going on at any given time, but my iPad fucked up an update and it's likely all my Procreate art is gone forever. Here's the two pieces that were in progress and have had many hours of refinement since then. Unlikely I'll go back to these now.

Is there a way to recover all my files from my iPad after an update fucks up, but before I do a factory reset? Because I think all my Procreate art is at danger of being gone forever

Hey all! Today, The Wandering Inn (@thewanderinginn.bsky.social) celebrates its physical release, and I'm making a thread of the fanart I've done over the years, to gush about why I made these pieces, and hopefully, along the way, convince you to read it.

Beorn's Hospitality
MtG: the Hobbit, AD: Colin Boyer.
I'm so glad I had the opportunity to paint Beorn, I love that big grumpy vegetarian guy and his animal friends 💚 I'll add some close-ups (as well as the card) below, so you can look at the details and approve of Bilbo's sense of priorities!

The card illustration in question :)
Desolation Prowler, painted for MtGxThe Hobbit, AD: Colin Boyer.
Look at this cute little black-aligned warg, I'm sure it's only following someone's bloody trail to make new friends 🖤
I had a lot of fun with "oily" colours on that one!

MY FIRST MAGIC CARD HAS BEEN RELEASED A FEW DAYS AGO, WOOOOO! LOOK AT IT!
Ahem. What I mean is:
Last Light of Durin's Day,
Magic the Gathering: the Hobbit,
AD: Colin Boyer.
I was fangirling a lot when working on that set (...and quite a few others), so I'm so happy I finally get to show my art!

lmao every single comment he reads out about FF14 sounds EXACTLY like the reddit discourse about The Wandering Inn. The two really are similar in so many ways, but I guess most people only have room for one forever-media in their lives...

Had a dream that there was global panic about the world running out of oxygen, Nintendo was the only video game company to make a statement about it, and the internet collectively spent its final hours on Earth debating whether Nintendo was being genuine or not

I've emerged from my Blender hole with my first try at 3d models+paintovers. I've actually been using Blender for a while now for lighting ref, but with premade assets--and I wouldn't paint over other people's models. But everything here is sculpted by myself, so now I'm allowed!

Python was awarded a funding grant, funding grant asked Python foundation to remove all diversity and inclusion initiatives they have.
Python foundation said no and rejected the grant.
If you use Python, send a few dollars to the charity to keep it going. I’m pushing a dono on behalf of ScamGuard.

Every time someone says she has no character development, or just dismisses the story entirely, I make a painting like this out of spite. "That'll show you!" I say to myself, not understanding entirely how I'm teaching anyone a lesson by making this. Also: sympathy for goblins is NOT her big flaw
