Local HERO in Kansas gets arrested for slashing ICE agent's tires. In an effort to deescalate the surrounding crowd, the cop arresting him yelled that the Kansas man is being arrested for slashing tires. The crowd cheered in response to that and basically gave the man a standing ovation.

“From my experience… I say that anyone who says an innocent man cannot go to the gallows is wrong... It is a frightful thing when a man you believe to be innocent and whose attitude is, ‘Don’t worry about me, God will not allow it,’ walks to the gallows and months later the truth comes out.”

53 years ago, hip-hop was born at a back-to-school party in the Bronx. Now, the Bronx School of Hip Hop is preparing a new generation of artists to shape what comes next.

I sat down with Nas to talk about the past, present, and future of hip-hop in NYC — from the turntables to our classrooms.

My cat would have been a great bodega cat or bookstore cat. She loves meeting people and helping. like today she had a great convo with the electrician. I feel like I should have more get togethers at my home so she can meet more people.

The move to primarily ebooks was always a bad one. Many libraries gave away their rights to perpetual access in favor of bloated, overpriced ebooks, many of which are out of date and underutilized at best.
"In 2022, Wiley removed over 1,300 ebooks from academic library collections; [they said] perpetual access is not an option for subscribed content. In 2025, Clarivate,... announced they would stop offering libraries perpetual access licenses for ebooks and primary-source digital collections."
