I really love this chart. I'm guess that the correlation here (.85) is about as big as you would find for any other variable. Also, a less serious scholar than @tesler.bsky.social (namely me) would have made a crude Freudian reference to the slope of the line.

There’s this sort of odd and objectively incorrect background assumption that the corporate form is natural and inviolable and it just isn’t, a corporation is the state magnanimously allowing you to make up a fake person for business reasons, there is no legal or philosophical reason for CEO-Kings
this dovetails with the authoritarian management of platforms themselves, with kings that -- due to stock arrangements -- cannot be effectively dislodged due to their dictatorial control over their companies.
