Listening to #AnyQuestions on #R4. Not sure I understand why we should be aiming at free care like the NHS for the elderly. It's assuming we can double the size of the NHS to give us oldies free care. I'm old. I have no money, but it's not the remit of any government to look after me, is it?

I went from UK for Marseille to buy a lemon zester. Returned to find that (a) several friends had the same model and (b) it's on eBay for 10th of the price. Also, it's made in USA and assembled in Mexico! I need therapy, obviously, especially as I'm a lousy cook...

Going on #Queen#Anne next week,where I will do an art class.How on earth do they start?I haven't got a clue about #painting/drawing and can't draw the vaguest shape or map or anything.I'm not going to withdraw,but I suspect my attempts will be laughable, which might be a result,on second thoughts.

#Cunard - how do I find out what time QA docks in So'ton on 6 Sept? The itinerary on the website is not helpful and I've even tried AI, to no avail. My lift would like to know, oviously.

Just watched a documentary on Hitler's beginnings. Amazing similarities to a dictator near you.. the script was identical.

I've just read that the #SS #Sir #Richard #Montgomery in the Thames Esturary is to have its masts removed. There are 2 reasons not to do this. The ordnance on board is probably still live and secondly the masts act as a marker. The ship is on a sandbank anyway, so nothing can sail over it.

Does anyone,anywhere (I'm UK) have a site that caters for the unfortunate victims of ADHD for my husband to talk to/join/read about? I am ok with having it,but he does the head-in-hands, frustration thing which doesn't help either of us. I'm 79, diagnosed at about 76, for info.

I experience a strange pleasure from clicking on any of the "like" etc buttons and taking it to the next level, i.e. 399-400. Pathetic, I suspect.

Just had a cataract removed. Was sooo scared but even though they wouldn't sedate me I genuinely didn't feel it. Trick is to stop the doc. talking about it! Will now see youTube to see what happened.
