Kids housebound or bedbound with Long COVID created superheroes inspired by their experiences with chronic illness and disability. Their heroes find strength in resting, asking for help and compassion. The characters now feature in a 72-page full-colour comic, Long Covid Superheroes.

Way too many people think all laughter indicates someone finds a thing funny.
People also laugh when they’re startled in a not-unpleasant way or uncomfortable with a social situation where they don’t yet know how to safely respond. Or they’re being tickled. Probably for more reasons too.

My local pharmacist didn’t even ask. His only question for me was “which arm.” I made the appointment online, did the thing, that was it. I tend to space them out, so COVID is first, and I’ll top up on the flu shot when they do the clinics on campus because that’s slightly more convenient.
A reminder that vaccines are widely available right now! And while most pharmacists don't even bother to ask about preexisting condition qualifications, they will also usually help you find out which fit you.

Brought my mom to the pharmacy and got our vaccinations today! Specifically for flu and COVID. Our arms barely even feel sore, and we've got minimal side effects. It's a nice way to get ready for a busy autumn.
