A photo of the C64C Ultimate retail box has surfaced online. I would have used the less familiar NTSC version as a base (again) as I really liked that blue/black colour scheme.
For the record, Peri still had creative control over the original Ultimate's box. He just seemed to like what we did. 🙂

Updated my PCB design for a 24-pin compatible flash ROM from years ago. This can replace the ROMs in long-board C64s. Adds a bank switch and breaks out the address lines used by SIDKick Pico.
These 64K PLCC chips are not so easy to find nowadays, but you can still get them.

Changing text in games is childish, boring and absolutely the lowest form of hacking. That doesn't stop me doing it though.

At the same time as the 1530, I acquired this lovely board. Has faults, but looks like new.
I suspect it's either a faulty VIC-II or the LS258 at U14. Not ruling out the old PLA or its associated logic U15 / U27 though.
