Just cancel PS+. It's simple. It's easy. It wont' even affect you until your sub runs out and even when it does I'm certain you can get by without it. The worst part is Sony doesn't let you back up saves locally anymore, so you'll have to DL all your cloud saves & hope your console doesn't die.
