This is part of the regime's attempt to crush organized labor and replace unionized TSA workers with contractors. They tried to eliminate workers bargaining rights last year, then forced them to work through the shutdown w/o pay for more than a month, and now this.
TSA says it is removing chairs at document checks in airports, requiring staff to stand for their shift.

TSA explained the reason as twofold: to ensure its employees meet its fitness standards and to create an amiable environment for travelers.

Popped into a class I’m working w to do a quick tool refresher ahead of an assignment. It was my 1st time in their room (they usually come to the DH Center) and what a horrible space. Tiny, hard plastic seats w tiny desks, crammed too close to each other. How can students learn in these conditions?
