Flights of Foundry is a phenomenal event and it could use our help to keep going. Please consider donating to an org that ties our writing community together so beautifully every September.
I love Flights of Foundry. I want it to keep flying for many, many years to come.

But if it's not an effective *fundraiser*, then the organization it's supporting truly won't be able to afford the time, effort, and cost of it.

If you want more? Put money in.

Loved this! I've had the absolute honor of getting to read more of Hannya's work this year, and the skill behind every story is apparent from the first word. This story combines imagery in ways that will break your brain and reform it anew with wonder and grief and hope and tragedy.

If anyone puts my book on a list of anticipated releases for 2027 I will yelp with the kind of glee that can heard from Mars. It’s a very good book, if sad and angry sometimes. There’s a dog that doesn’t die and many humans that do. www.barnesandnoble.com/w/the-long-r...

If anybody was excited that Science Fiction Weekly is aiming to "revive" Daily Science Fiction, you should know they are straight-up lying about having gotten permission from writers to republish DSF stories on their website. (Yes, I have sent a DCMA takedown notice.)

A case of David vs Goliath at Wroclaw Zoo, as a tiny 13kg deer takes on a nearly two-tonne rhinoceros and appears to come out of the clash on top.

I'm finishing a #solarpunk story using Kishōtenketsu structure and I learned so much about storytelling! Structure is such a powerful tool to open up your stories and do more with them.

If you're curious about this 4 act structure @henrylienauthor.bsky.social's book was an invaluable guide!
Highly recommend @henrylienauthor.bsky.social's book about Kishōtenketsu (the Japanese name for the classic 4 Act Eastern story structure).

Henry's slim book is concise & entertaining.
Should be in every writer's toolkit!
