measure.sh just became platform-agnostic for mobile devs 🚀

#ReactNative joins #ios, #android & #flutter.

We unified the Errors page so crashes + ANRs live in one clean view with all the debugging context you need.

Now’s the right time to try Measure → measure.sh

Experimenting with pgdog.dev to replace our existing pooler. Rolling out to production soon at measure.sh

Not gonna lie, I was pretty excited about Jev. Using it to classify measure.sh sessions into healthy, degraded, or frustrated: crash/ANR, HTTP failures, rage taps, slow launch, memory pressure, all weighted into one score. Cheap, fast, typed classification. Jev is Jevons Paradox in real time.

Noticed a 3x spike in usage from a Measure Cloud customer. First thought: something broke. Turned out they'd bumped their Adaptive Capture config way up.

We flagged it. They tuned the sliders back & boom, cost dropped instantly.

That's the power of Adaptive Capture.

Try now - measure.sh

CocoaPods is going read-only.

Need to convince your team to migrate? Just whisper: “No more easy security updates after 2026.”

Works surprisingly well!

Feels like the end of an era. Big thanks to the CocoaPods team.

Retiring with honour. 🫡

Finishing up the last bit of polish on our Perfetto integration.

Perfetto traces captured from production are now just a click away. Open a trace from the session timeline directly in ui.perfetto.dev.

Coming soon in the next release.

The best thing about coding agents is they do whatever I ask them to.

The worst thing about coding agents is also that they do whatever I ask them to.

I can be using the completely wrong approach or get deep into a bad rabbit hole and they will happily code away without complaints. Need better UX

Android 17 introduces a local MCP equivalent called AppFunctions.

Similar to how a MCP server declares tools that be used by agents, an AppFunction exposes app capabilities to AI agents like Gemini.

Working on some trace viewer improvements for @measure.sh . Runs smoothly with hundreds of spans on Android, iOS, React Native and Flutter performance traces. More improvements coming to the platform soon...

Build @measure.sh as an open source mobile app monitoring platform.

Use @iggy.rs for ingesting crazy amounts of mobile telemetry data.

Run into issues.

Iggy maintainer drops into our repo.

Stress tests 3 million events.

Tells us how to improve our performance.

Open source is ❤️

Android 17 will start killing resource hungry apps.

New per-app RAM limits mean extreme memory leaks get terminated. Worth profiling your apps now to be ready.

We're building stuff in measure.sh for easy prod detection.

I have been using signposts to improve the performance of @measure.sh.

We use it to track SDK initialisation time, event & span processing time and attachment & layout snapshot generation time.
