Apparently the hot new rationalization in pissy right-wing creator circles as to why they're not as financially or culturally successful as they ought to be is that their IQs are all 30 points too high for the normies to understand their creations, and, oh, honey, I assure you, that's so not it

Why call it "Chromatchik"? It's a portmanteau of "Chroma" meaning color, "Match", and... well, "Magic". There is no "magic" system in the game, it's not a fantasy. There is a sense of wonder in "the zone" of puzzle games. Getting lost in the trance of it all. That's the magic; the colorful magic.

A peek into what's cooking. Decided to stop being a chaos goblin and use Notion to properly plan, execute, and document my design of my next game. Chromatchik is a block pushing/matching puzzler in Love2d. Inspired by classic puzzlers. Pre-production ended yesterday, production is officially begun.

My city's subreddit posted a pic of a Nazi fuck driving his Nazi truck casually down the highway here with literal swastika bumper stickers, Nazi slogans, death threats, and antisemitic messages on it. Like guy is just driving this shit in broad daylight around hundreds of cars. I hate everything.

He *is* helping to pay for it himself... by insisting their bribery go to the ballroom instead of his pocket directly as usual. Fucking snakes all the way down.
"A list obtained by The Washington Post reveals all the major donors to President Donald Trump’s White House ballroom project.... Tech giants Nvidia and Apple each committed $25 million....Absent from the list is Trump himself, who has said that he is helping to pay for the project."
Secret documents reveal donors behind $330 million for Trump’s ballroom
The records offer a panoramic view of a fundraising campaign that is extraordinary for its size and opacity.

Buckle up for this fever dream: MrBeast went on Shark Tank and invested in an AI powered toy called Ball 2. Not only is this just a ball with AI shoved in it for basically no reason other than to justify $65 prices, but the battery is non-chargeable and non-replaceable.

Smart fridges hacked. AI distributed inferences across toasters and TVs. Data collection, privacy violation.

Will Adama was right. Networking is a mistake. A vulnerability that we all just casually let into our homes and lives. I only have 2 smart TVs and I'm going to sever their internet access.

No, actually, they cannot do this.
Trump: "They want to cut your children. It's unbelievable what they do. Your son leaves as Jimmy and comes home in three days as Janet, and they don't even ask you. They can take your child out of school and do whatever the hell they want. Minnesota is one of those states."

Truly. And that's exactly why my current game project is intentionally *colorful* as *fuuuuuuuuck*. In fact, my games are gonna be all color and whimsy from here on out for the foreseeable future

I already don’t buy anything on Epic Games. I have found their business practices abhorrent. But now they’re vibe coding the new version of their launcher and if I could boycott them any more than I already do, I would

I love that the best they've got at this point is "I dunno, Talarico's kinda gay to me." Bro, we couldn't care less if he was. They have basically nothing else at this point and it's hilarious.
JD Vance: "I love you too sir. In a totally platonic way, to be clear. I'm the vice president, not James Talarico."

Know what blows my mind? People talk and talk about opposition to MAGA, then buy ModRetro devices. Or review the new Dell XPS. Or justify staying on or returning to X. There's no ethical consumption under capitalism, but that's not an excuse to not try anyway. Stop lining the pockets of evil.

To quote our parents in their 90s era: "Don't believe everything you see on the internet."
NEW: I wrote about why so many people wanted to believe that Ukrainian airstrikes on a Russian data center reduced troll and bot activity online, even though it's almost certainly not true. Featuring @noupside.bsky.social: www.motherjones.com/politics/202...
Drone strikes didn't take out a Russian bot farm, but we were primed to believe It
A viral rumor illustrates people’s hunger to make sense of the division we see online.
