happened again when i paused an episode and came back! i sure do love modern anime streaming and its inability to support basic features for more than an hour at a time!
rewatching an anime in Japanese, the English subtitles wont load for some reason, and i keep swapping between French and Dutch because theyre available and i ALMOST understand some basics of them, but im realizing this is a little chaotic in my head lol

youtube really needs a setting to disable automatically using automated audio dubbing. like just let me pick the preference of "original audio" if it is that hard to let me opt out.
or maybe stop forcing features onto people just so you can pretend people are using a feature more than they are.

to um actually myself, obviously using the jp title originates from localization originally taking months to years and fans of animation being able to exchange news or bootlegs early, but its continuation as simultaneous release became normal is definitely an effect of piracy. but that's history now

im just genuinely convinced that people dont know the difference between text and subtext. things spoken explicitly in the dialog are not subtext. the subtext would be reading for deeper meaning beyond. or do people mean something is open to interpretation when they are calling it subtext?

I think the primordial element of the culture war wrt Kei Trucks and Cybertrucks before any social concerns really is aesthetic. People who like Cybertrucks are tasteless & feel Keis are emasculating. People who like Keis correctly understands Toriyama characters drive them.
