Change is happening in Shelby County. During the primary, Democratic turnout increased by 260%. Louise and I enjoyed spending yesterday afternoon with the Shelby County Democrats and so many of our strong Democratic candidates.

I was honored yesterday to be the Grand Marshall in the Labor Day parade in Tuscumbia, one of the oldest Labor Day celebrations in the country. Organized labor is in my DNA folks and as Governor I will do everything I can to protect and promote the working men and women in Alabama.

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there! My dad taught me so much in the 65 years that I was privileged to be his son and I have done my best to pass all of it along to my kids. That folks is the legacies our father’s leave us.

With the help of the Supreme Court continuing to show their partisan colors, Alabama has officially re-joined the Old Confederacy. But make no mistake, we intend to build a better Alabama where everyone has a seat at the table.
