It’s no secret that I’m a huge House of the Dragon fan, so this year I made a quick fanart inspired by it as well—Dreamfyre and Helaena Targaryen. 💜

I watched the House of the Dragon season finale a few days ago and woke up with Ramin Djawadi's music from the final sequence stuck in my head the next morning. Overwhelming work, anchored by white-hot performances by Emma D'Arcy, Matt Smith, Freddie Fox, and Phia Saban. This one stayed with me.

Aegon’s and Sunfyre’s “resurrections” may be the last straw for Rhaenyra as the Battle of Tumbleton looms.

Happy 48th anniversary of the day they pulled the plug on Chesterfield Canal and drained all the water out
Today is the 47th anniversary of this clearly unimprovable photo, from a story so absurd that it shouldn’t be true, but is: the day a team of workers from British Waterways pulled the plug out of the Chesterfield Canal, and all the water emptied out

appreciate House of the Dragon demonstrating why everyone in Westeros reacts to the appearance of anyone from north of the Neck by screaming, crying, throwing up, etc

While JK Rowling and Amnesty are being mentioned in the same breath it's worth remembering why she lost her job there.
It's weird to me that discussions of JK Rowling always being a dick never being up the fact she spent her time at Amnesty International drafting books when she was supposed to be documenting war crimes in Africa.

The great thing about Britain is you're free to think whatever you want to think and say whatever J. K. Rowling's lawyers permit you to say.

most murders are committed by someone the victim knows - a partner, neighbor etc. but in cases where there is no relationship between murderer & victim? the killer is a cop about a third of the time.
if you are killed by a stranger, there is a 1 in 3 chance that stranger is a cop.

Rhaenyra banning Ulf from the pub is some class a tyrant shit. I bet that stung harder than Daemons insults and her refusal to name him Targaryan. Heaven has no rage like love to hatred turned, nor hell a fury like a Ulf the sot getting barred from his local. #HotD

Letterbox is basically "Movie Poop Shoot" from Jay and Silent Bob Strikes Back, except that it doesn't understand the satire, which is in and of itself both funny and sad. It's the ultimate mausoleum to media literacy.
