This is well written and drives the point home in a very unintimidating manner.

Today, Country First released a new ad.

I'm a veteran, and I won't stand by while Trump turns our Military into a political weapon. Troops don't belong at polling locations. Yet Trump refuses to rule it out.

Keeping our Military away from the Ballot Box isn't partisan, It's American.

This afternoon, I also had the chance to spend time with some of their family members, remembering those 40 souls. We will never forget their loved ones' heroism and sacrifice. We will never forget what happened on September 11, 2001.

May their memories be a blessing.

They were ordinary Americans who ultimately did an extraordinary thing. They embodied the essence of the American spirit — true courage, a belief in one another, faith in their country, and a commitment to something greater than oneself.

They were ordinary people who woke up on a Tuesday morning in September, kissed their loved ones goodbye, and got on a plane to go to work or visit family — just like millions of Americans do each day.

The 40 heroes who summoned the courage to stare evil in the face and fought back prevented even more death and destruction on one of our nation’s darkest days. They weren’t soldiers trained to fight in war or first responders prepared to run towards danger.

Twenty-five years later, September 11th is still asking something of us.

The distance we've traveled from 2001 is not a reason for despair. It's the assignment.

But we cannot resort to violence as a way to settle those disagreements. It’s not who we are.

We all need to do our part to take down the temperature, condemn political violence, and actually work together to keep advancing the values and freedoms that are at the core of who we are as a nation.

Civil disagreements and debates are healthy for our democracy. In fact, throughout our history, they’ve served as the catalyst for real, progressive change.

It happened again. I was running an errand when a man walked toward me to say, “I’m a Republican, but I just want to thank you for what you’re doing.”

Suddenly, Republicans are stopping me to talk. It comes at a time when less than half of the GOP says they "strongly approve" of Trump. (Link below)

Stopped by the Pittsburgh Fire Fighters IAFF Local No 1. Labor Day Picnic to thank these heroes for everything they do to keep our communities safe.

They run towards danger to protect our neighbors while others run away to safety — and I can promise you this, I’ll always stand with them.
