Together with more then 50 organizations around the globe we made a joined statement on the Colombian efforts towards a global agreement on minerals. Monday @UNEP set the date to hand in draft resolutions to be negotiated further!
Mineral demand is surging. Without safeguards, communities & ecosystems will pay the price.
Colombia’s initiative at #UNEA7 is a chance to change course. With partners, we encourage it to submit its resolution by 29 Sept so it can be debated in Dec.
