I've written to NMFC today to register my disgust at us pursuing Blakey while he is being investigated by police as part of sexual assault allegations. The club owes its members an explanation of why they think this is acceptable, and why women and sexual assault survivors shouldn't feel abandoned.

At the start of this year, I wouldn't have thought it would be a controversial thing to say that I thought my football club should not actively chase a man who is currently being investigated by police for his involvement in an alleged sexual assault. But 2026 is just full of surprises, isn't it

The AFL trade podcasts and panel shows need to come with a trigger warning today. Did I miss an update where Vic Police said they were no longer investigating Nick Blakey as part of sexual assault allegations? Why are folks acting like there's no risk in signing him? I am actually losing my mind

I would hereby like to lead the cancellation of Gerard Healey. Last night on Trading Day on Fox (which apparently I watch now) he lead a gross hagiography of Nick Blakey. He was all "Lizard's a true Bloods guy, the Swans need to give him some love" as if he's not under police investigation. Like WTF

I am, and will probably always be, a Clarko apologist, and I am so grateful for what he did at North. But... I think I already love Jaymie Graham. The stuff he said about North and Freo being similar working class clubs and aligned on values rings so true to me. I think he's the right guy for us.

Geoscience Australia says the shake we felt in Melbourne was a 4.8 magnitude earthquake near Leongatha. You can click the "I felt it" button and do a quick survey of what you felt, then look at all the reports mapped.

Sydney Swans have shown us their whole arse by allowing Heeney to win the B&F. Whether he's done something that he can be charged for or not, it's clear that him and his mates were not respectful to the women involved that night. It shows everything the Swans have said and done since is pure PR.

As a Shinboner with lots of affection for Freo, I woke up feeling like the footy gods are just absolute cunts sometimes. The cruel way in which Freo lost, the lovely Alex Pearce getting injured, that Neale gronk being allowed to play, even the miserable weather... nothing went Freo's way all day ⚓💔
