APPLEBAUM: There’s a long debate about whether Ukraine should be in NATO. It’s a moot point.

I would much rather see new set of security alliances that automatically include Ukraine.

Because Ukraine has the best military technology now, maybe in the world, definitely in Europe.

Unlike the tragic hounding of David Kelley or Caroline Flack, the first driven by international politics and Iraq, the second by celebrity culture and reality TV, the persecution of Jason Arday was driven by far right culture wars and billionaire spite. It’s that simple

Truly gutted not to be able to get to Leicester Square for the @quietriotpod.bsky.social @lincolnproject.us @bylinetimes.bsky.social live event tonight. All a part of my life for over a decade now. I can only hope that the event is recorded (audio) for podcast or download from Kofi. Have a great one

I find this deeply cynical and when we were promised that leaving the EU wouldn't change our free roaming there. I return from a trip to an EU country to find I have huge extra charges on my EE bill. I put it down to my own tardiness, dismissing the charge notification text on landing there. 1/2

We will get there, step by step and cluster by cluster.

🚨The UK-US pharma deal with Trump will cost 229,000 lives in England.

The deal is so bad that the editor of the British Medical Journal says it suggests "We’ll kill our poor people to make your rich companies richer”.

Dear Andy Burnham, tear up this deal as Prime Minister. Thank you.

Farage was always master of the grift. Remember ten years ago when @carolecadwalla.bsky.social and I revealed his Leave EU team were in and out of the Russian Embassy in the run up to Brexit, looking for gold and diamond deals with the Kremlin? Farage must have known, and approved. Ten years ago

The very best of luck 2 U & you're book & the promotional tour for it. Love to C it but I 'ain't comin' to the US anytime soon.

How, though, do you intend to get this message out beyond your own silo? I ask because it feels like a huge nut that needs to be cracked.

Maybe the answer is in yr book
The great thing about Ben's op-ed is that it doesn't stop at organizing to win elections. Winning elections is the precursor to necessary institutional reforms to make America an actual representative democracy. This is the way. The platform must be institutional reform:
