Auto sales in Canada were up 37.7 per cent in Q2 over those in Q1. However, market share for zero-emission vehicles (ZEVs), remained almost unchanged at 10.7 per cent, compared with 10.8 per cent in Q1.

Canada posted one of the sharpest increases in electric bus sales in the world in 2025, according to the International Council on Clean Transportation, with 392 units making an 188 per cent annual increase.

A report by auto claims technology firm Mitchell finds an EV costs on average $1,234 more to repair than a gas-powered vehicle in Canada. That's the narrowest margin on record.

The British Columbia to Baja California zero-emissions trucking corridor will include 20 charging stations and three hydrogen filling stations from Vancouver down the I-5 freeway and into Mexico.

Electric bus sales in Canada jumped 188 per cent in 2025, according to the International Council on Clean Transportation (ICCT). The number of ZE-MHDV sales, however, only made up 1 per cent of overall fleet registrations.

Early next year, orders for the new Ford Fathom mid-sized, all-electric pickup will open. Starting at $42,690, it's eligible for EVAP rebates.

The Kia EV3 is Canada's least-expensive electric vehicle, starting at $39,744 all-in. Of 10 available trim levels, eight are eligible for EVAP rebates. It arrives in dealerships later this month.
